Val and Marc are an adorable Portland transplant couple who fell in love in the PNW. Both are from Alabama and grew up only miles away from each other, but never met. It wasn’t until college in Seattle that they finally connected. Some long distance moves and a grand gesture later, they were engaged! My first meeting with Val she insisted we go to Dockside and “grab a bloody.”
I knew this planning process was going to be a fun one.

The theme of the wedding was romance, and romance was in abundance. From the thoughtfully designed color scheme to the home-made Southern sweet ice tea, they wedding was romance and class all the way. But what really made this wedding special was the intimate details that were incorporated into it. Both Val and Marc grew up in the church, but they knew they wanted a venue that highlighted the beauty of the city were their relationship had flourished. The historic downtown EcoTrust was just the place! Add in a beautiful, handmade wooden cross and you almost feel like you are in an open aired church. To top off the sentiment, the bride’s uncle gave her away and she honored her father by pinning his military pin to her bouquet.
After the ceremony, the couple snuck away for pictures with the ever-so talented Brogan Marie, while guests headed inside to sip on sweet-tea and nibble on passed hors d'oeuvres. For dinner the new husband and wife relaxed with guest while ChefsTable served up a delicious meal. After dinner, everyone headed back up to the rooftop terrace to watch the Portland sunset and dance the night away. The night was capped off with a sparkler send off and a ride in a PDX Pedicab for the bride and groom. Cheers to another great love story.
